STEVENS POINT (WAOW) -
Police in Stevens Point say a teenager was attacked while out for a jog.
Police say this happened Sunday around 3:00 p.m.
They say the girl was jogging near the UWSP campus when she was approached by a man asking for directions. Authorities say the man grabbed her arm and tried to pull her toward his car. But she was able to get away.
"I just want to say Stevens Point is a safe community, these type of things don't normally happen and we're working hard to resolve this as fast as we can," said Sgt. Tony Babl.
Police say the man is described as white in his 50s, with a stocky build, weighing around 200 pounds with a gray beard.
They say his car is light blue or gray with a red emblem on the front grill.
If you have any information call Stevens Point Police.
