GBB: Amherst falls to Oconto in OT

MENASHA (WAOW) -

Amherst was stopped in the sectional semifinals for the second straight year after falling to top-seed Oconto, 60-55, in the sectional semifinals.

The Falcons were down by 14 at halftime but rallied to take the lead in the third quarter when Hannah Grawey scored a three-pointer. Amherst fell behind again but Grawey scored a lay-up in the closing seconds to send the game into the extra period.

In OT, Oconto's Andrea Cisar scored the go-ahead three and Amherst's final shot to tie the game hit the rim. The Falcons end their season with a 20-5 record.
