ADAMS COUNTY (WAOW) - The former Marine from Adams County who police say fatally shot his girlfriend after being startled in bed is scheduled to return to court Friday.
The Adams County Clerk of Courts office says prosecutors are deciding whether to file charges against 28-year-old Coleman Dybul in the March 3 shooting death of 27-year-old Toni Voss.
During a court appearance Monday, prosecutors said they needed more time to evaluate evidence, authorities said. The judge also agreed to consider a request to reduce Dybul's bail when he returns to court Friday.
Dybul remained in jail on $250,000 cash bond Monday, authorities said.
Police say Voss was killed after she returned to bed and it startled Dybul who reached for a shotgun he kept besides the bed and shot her.
Officials said Dybul served in the Marines from 2003 to 2007.
