West Michigan officials probe man's fatal shooting

Authorities in West Michigan are investigating the shooting death of a 37-year-old man at his home.

The Allegan County sheriff's department said in a statement that the body of 37-year-old Jody Snyder was found Saturday night in Valley Township.

MLive.com reports that an autopsy Monday confirmed that Snyder had been shot.

Investigators say Snyder was last seen Friday at his home. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the sheriff's department.
