RIB MOUNTAIN (WAOW) -
A snowshoer found dead Tuesday night in Rib Mountain State Park has been identified.
According to Marathon County Medical Examiner John Larson, Mark Welsh, 49, died of a heart attack.
Sheriff's officials say two snowshoers found Welsh's body near the west end of the park around 7 p.m. Tuesday. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The medical examiner tells Newsline 9 Welsh had not been dead very long before his body was found.
