
UW-Stevens Point women's basketball senior guard and DC Everest product Sam Barber has been named the 2013 All-Central Region Player of the Year by D3hoops.com.
In addition to being named player of the year, Barber was also a First Team All-Central Region selection for the second straight season.
In her senior campaign, Barber started all 30 games for the Pointers, averaging a team-high 19.1 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds. She connected on 43.6 percent of her shots from 3-point range, 49.1 percent of her field goals and 78.3 percent from the free-throw line. She also recorded 57 steals, 43 assists and 32 blocked shots, en route to earning her second straight WIAC Player of the Year honor.
