Police: $10,000 worth of heroin seized

WAUSAU (WAOW) _ The Marathon County Sheriff Department says investigators recovered heroin with a street value up to $10,000 when searching an apartment in Wausau.

Investigators say a man with past convictions for drug trafficking was arrested on a parole hold when officers executed the search warrant on Tuesday.

The heroin recovered was enough for a least 170 street sales, the sheriff's department said in a statement.

The sheriff's department's special investigations unit and Wausau Police Department officers conducted the search.
