MARATHON (WAOW) - Marathon Elementary students are reading, all in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day.

Third graders invited family, friends and teachers to the Read Til You're Green event.

The little readers brought blankets, chairs and stuffed animals and picked a cozy spot in the library with a box full of books. Those who attended the event grabbed a handful of gold coins on their way in and were read to by students.

When a student did a good job reading, they received one of those gold coins. After 5 coins, a fun filled table with St. Patrick's Day goodies awaited them
