Several children celebrated a made-up language called Dragonese

Several children celebrated a made-up language called Dragonese.

 

The Marathon County Public Library in Wausau hosted a "Dragonese Day" event Tuesday.  

Library officials say it's all an effort teach 3rd through 5th graders about this language.

Dragonese was created in a series of books called "How to Train your Dragon."

The day featured games, crafts, and lessons in speaking the language.  

"This is a language that was created by a very creative and talented woman and dealing with a lot of really fun things dragons and fantasy and kids overcoming difficult situations," said Library Assistant, Amy Ryan.

The event also featured activities on old history.
