Granite Peak getting ready for spring break boost

While it might not feel like it outside, spring is coming to Granite Peak.

On Monday, the ski hill will offer two weeks of spring break skiing. "Avalanche Days" offers special deals for students on vacation from school.

Ski officials say it's been a great season so far on the mountain. They're expecting a good turnout during the next few weeks.

"Everyone has been extremely happy," said Chris Pingel, Snow Sports Education Director at Granite Peak. "Conditions are great. It's not brutal cold, it's not warm and slushy. It's just perfect. You know, right around that 30 degree temperature is what everyone loves."

Because of the great conditions this year, ski officials say the hill will stay open an additional day. They plan on closing April 13th.
