While it might not feel like it outside, spring is coming to
On Monday, the ski hill will offer two weeks of spring break
skiing. "Avalanche Days" offers special deals for students on vacation from
Ski officials say it's been a great season so far on the
mountain. They're expecting a good turnout during the next few weeks.
"Everyone has been extremely happy," said Chris
Pingel, Snow Sports Education Director at Granite Peak. "Conditions are great. It's not
brutal cold, it's not warm and slushy. It's just perfect. You know, right
around that 30 degree temperature is what everyone loves."
Because of the great conditions this year, ski officials say
the hill will stay open an additional day. They plan on closing April 13th.
