MADISON (AP) - New campaign finance reports show state schools
Superintendent Tony Evers has spent nearly $210,000 on his re-election
bid this year.
Evers faces state Rep. Don Pridemore, a Hartford
Republican, in an April 2 election. The candidates have until midnight
Monday to file with the state Government Accountability Board listing
contributions and spending from the beginning of the year through March
Evers reported spending about $209,700 over the
period. Most of the spending - $186,700 - took place during the days
between Feb. 5 and March 18. He had $42,850 on hand.
Pridemore's campaign hadn't filed his reports as of
late morning Monday. His latest report on file shows he spent about
$19,000 between Jan. 1 and Feb. 4. He raised $2,400 and had $33,400 on
