Licking stamps has become a more pleasurable experience since Belgium's postal service introduced a new kind of stamp. They smell and taste like chocolate.
The new stamps went on sale Monday. Postal workers say customers buying the stamps were mainly collectors, but a few tourists also took the opportunity to try out the treat.
"We had already tried different smelling stamps and this year we wanted to promote the chocolate and we used the system again and we have now, instead of having only the flavor, we have also the taste," Belgium Stamp Producer, Pierre Leempoel said.
Five different designs have been chosen to represent these new chocolate flavored stamps. They cost about $8 each.
