The Wausau West fieldhouse hosted the Wausau West Boys Warrior Invitational Friday.
In the 55-meter hurdles, Athens' Danny Trimner makes it close, but edges out the win with a time of 8.19 seconds. In second place was Wausau West's Austin Bates with a time of 8.32 seconds, and taking third was Nate Prososki from Newman, posting a time of 8.71 seconds.
Then in the shot put, big Bryan Kaiser from Mosinee launches his throw a whopping 48' 2" to take home the top spot. Alex Mickelson from Shawano took second place, throwing 45' 4". And Jeff Ford from Newman finished in third with a throw of 42' 5".
And then in the high jump, Newman's Marcus Gabriel cleared the bar at 5' 10" which would be good enough for first place. Carson Weber (Wausau West), Deontae Heuer (Stanley-Boyd), and Vince Dinkel (Marathon) tied for second place with jumps of 5' 8".
Marathon took home the team title with 168 points, Wausau West took second with 130 points, and Mosinee took third scoring 75 points.
