Wausau East students hold scavenger hunt

Students at Wausau East High School held a scavenger hunt downtown on Saturday. The event is put on by the school's marketing classes.

Teams went business to business in Wausau, completing challenges. Some of those challenges including singing karaoke and building a tent.

Students say the event helped them learn valuable lessons they can use after high school.

"It's just something cool, something we've been working on all year. So to see it finally come alive after we've been working on it since November, it really feels good," said Wausau East High School marketing student Brady Becker.

Members of the community were allowed to participate in the event and organizers say more than 100 took part. All the money raised goes toward scholarships for students in those marketing classes.
