cultures around the world Saturday. It was hosted by the school's Multi-Cultural
The theme of the day was based on the Japanese Cherry Blossom
Festival. Organizers estimate 500 people took part in the event.
They say it is about exposing other cultures to people that
may not get the chance to any other way.
"My main objective is to showcase what we have in the
community, allow people in the community to have a chance to show who they are,

Multi-Cultural Resource Center Director Theodore Ceplina.
The event featured about 30 different cultures and included authentic
food for people to try.
