Wausau man sent to prison in prostitution case

WAUSAU (WAOW) -- A 21-year-old Wausau man was sentenced to four years in prison Monday for his role in what police called a child prostitution ring that was promoted on the Internet.

According to online court records, Dominick West was convicted of two felonies, including child enticement, and one misdemeanor as part of a plea agreement in which seven other charges were dismissed.

Marathon County prosecutors said West and three others drove underage girls to hotels and homes around Wausau where they got money for having sex in 2011.

Marathon County Circuit Court Judge Mike Moran ordered West to serve four years on extended supervision after he is released from prison.
