Marathon Co. Humane Society among finalists for pet project
MARATHON COUNTY (WAOW) -
The Marathon County Humane Society could be recognized nationally if it gets enough votes.
The Humane Society is one of five national finalists for the Pedigree Feeding Project. The project provides a years worth of food for the winning shelter.
Humane Society leaders say winning this contest would benefit all their animals.
"It would put Wausau and the Humane Society and Marathon County on the map. We already have people that have come in to visit from across the country to see dogs and even to adopt so to have them come visit our website to know that we're here, it's mind boggling to think what could all happen," Executive Director, Mary Kirlin said.
The winner is decided by popular vote. You can cast your vote once a day until Friday.
