The Green Bay Packers have signed tight end Matthew Mulligan, out of the University of Maine.
Mulligan is a 6'4", 247 pound, fifth-year player, who spent the 2012 season with the St. Louis Rams. He appeared in all 16 games for them, recording career highs with 8 catches for 84 yards, and his first career touchdown.
Prior to his time with the Rams, he played for the New York Jets for three seasons (2009-11), appearing in 34 games while making 11 starts and 6 catches for 60 yards.
Mulligan originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins in 2008. He was a two-time letter winner at Maine, where he appeared in 21 games, starting 18 of them in 2006-07, catching 23 passes for 268 yards and 2 touchdowns.
