Sheriff: Third person hurt in March 30 crash dies

WAUTOMA (WAOW) - The Waushara County Sheriff's Department said Friday that a third person has died following the March 30 single-vehicle crash that severely hurt six passengers.

Sheriff David Peterson said Javier Salazar Gonzales, 22, of Wisconsin Dells, died Friday from injuries suffered in the crash when a sports utility vehicle drifted off southbound Interstate 39 and rolled over in the median. The accident happened about 6 a.m. in the Township of Coloma.

The sheriff said Oscar Ordonez Osorio, 25, of Wisconsin Dells, died Monday from his injuries and Mayra Isabell Davila, 23, of Marshall, died the day of the crash.

The four men and two women in the 2001 Lincoln SUV were thrown from the vehicle and none were wearing seat belts, Lt. Jeff Nett. They were from southern Wisconsin and ranged in age from 18 to 25.

"It is still unclear who was driving," Nett said Friday. "They were just out partying. That is all we can figure out so far. The last we knew they were in the Dells."

All six people in the vehicle had been drinking, Nett said.
