The Pointers baseball season has gotten off to a good start with a 12-3 record, but none of those games nor any of their practices have been on their home field.
The team was able to open conference play last weekend against Plateville, but at the only place with a playable field; in Whitewater.
They were supposed to have their first home conference series against the Warhawks this weekend, but weather has forced them to move those home games back to Whitewater tomorrow and Sunday, leaving them with only one home weekend series for the rest of the season.
"For us we're lucky that we actually have games to look forward to and know that we're going to play." said head coach Pat Bloom. "I think that's the biggest motivator. Yeah, we're inside and it's less than ideal but we know come Saturday and Sunday we'll be playing baseball outside against somebody other than ourselves."
