Hundreds of skiers were out at Granite Peak on Saturday.
They showed up to enjoy their last chance on the hill this season.
Granite Peak managers said it has been a remarkable year and the longest season they've ever had.
They said more than 200 skiers hit the slopes in just the first few hours, trying to make the most of the great conditions.
"Everyone's really loving it, no one ever really expects fresh snow in the middle of April, so this is pretty amazing," said Snow Sports Educator, Chris Pingel.
Managers said they're already looking forward to next season and hope to see even better conditions.
The snowmobile trails opened in Vilas CountyFriday at 5 p.m.
More light snow on the way, and a bit of a warming trend too.
