The Wausau East tennis team finally took the court for the first time this season. The Lumberjacks traveled to Madison Memorial for a triangular.
In first doubles action, the Lumberjacks pair of Tanner Dimka and Justin Strom would help East take the match against West Bend West, 6-2, 6-4.
In first singles, Lumberjacks senior Conrad Felton got the season off to a good start taking down his West Bend West opponent in straight sets.
Felton and the rest of the team said after the match that they're happy to finally be able to play some tennis.
"At the beginning, in the first game or so, it takes a little bit just to get used to this weather," said Felton. "But after a few games, once you get into a groove, things start flowing the way you want them too. We're just really glad to be out here again, and I'm ready for the next one."
