According to a press release, heavy wet snow and sleet caused the outages. 879 customers are still without power as of 8:45 a.m. Monday.

The hardest hit areas are Lac Du Flambeau, Boulder Junction and St. Germain according to WPS.

The utility company reports that workers have additional power restoration crews from other company locations.

WPS is working to restore power by early to mid afternoon Monday, according to the release.

Stay away from downed power lines and tree branches.
