"It's kind of like a family reunion where we don't get to see each other much, even at holidays but we all come home for trivia," Johnson says.
The Plover native is one of dozens of people who lined up hours before registration for the 44th annual UW-Stevens Point trivia contest.
"We started in 1978, that was the year I was born, so yeah, I was kind of born into it," Johnson explained.
The contest begins on Friday. But, before the questions start, there's a lot of work to do.
"A lot of what we do is getting teams ready to register, getting merchandise ready, and setting up for the most chaotic week ever," Jesse Hinze, 90 FM Station Manager said.
During the contest, eight questions are broadcast on 90 FM each hour. Teams have the length of two songs to call in their answers.
"It's just insanity," Hinze said of the atmosphere once trivia begins. "But we're ready."
And with 54 straight hours of questions, it's good to be ready, because this game won't stop until the final question is read Sunday night.
Teams can register up until Friday. Trivia 44 officially starts Friday at 6 p.m. You can participate in the trivia contest on the radio and online. For more information, click here: http://www.90fmtrivia.org/
