UPDATE: Plea deal scheduled in Marshfield murder case

A plea hearing is now scheduled for a Wood Co. man accused of killing his girlfriend. Gabriel Campos, 21, is charged with intentional homicide. He previously pleaded not guilty due to mental disease.

Marshfield Police say Campos killed Maisie McCullough, 18, back in September. Officials say she had been stabbed in the back and her throat was cut.

Police say her body was found in a Marshfield home the couple once shared. While in custody, Wood County prosecutors say Campos tried to hire someone to kill McCullough's boyfriend.

Campos remains in jail on a $5 million bond. His attorney did not return our calls. Online court records show the plea hearing is scheduled for next month.
