The Northland Pines high school trap club started after a group of students pitched the idea to their teacher Tim Lehman, knowing he had a passion for the outdoors.
In it's first year, the group of 23 students meets every Thursday for practice. While this is a mostly male dominated sport, they were happy to see a girl show up.
Brandon Hunt says, "I think it's a really great opportunity to have girls and guys both together."
Miranda Rein says she felt intimidated, "It puts a lot more pressure on me and I kind of like that sometimes because that strives for me to do a lot better."
Most sports offer a relief of pressure with a time-out, second half or strike three. Even without that, these students say they're having the time of their lives.
CoachLlehman says, "Most of them, we're kicking out of here, because we want to get home."
