Two area high school students sign letters of intent

Posted:

Wausau West wrestler Joe Umlauf signed his letter of intent today, heading to North Dakota State.  He joins 7 other Wisconsin natives who wrestle for the Bisons.
Umlauf was the State Championship runner up this year, and has never lost a match in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet.
He says his work ethic will fit in perfectly at North Dakota.

Heinrich Walder will play college baseball in Iowa.  The Rosholt senior pitcher signed his letter of intent, committing to Iowa Central Community College.  Walder was deciding between two other schools, but says that the new facilities and an energetic coach led to his decision.
