FRIENDSHIP (WAOW) -
A jury was picked Monday for the trial of a 61-year-old Adams County man accused of killing his mother and hiding her corpse in some woods near her home.
Larry Clark of Big Flats is charged with seven felonies, including first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse, forgery and giving false information regarding a missing person, in the death of his 79-year-old mother Marcella Clark.
Larry Clark was charged in November 2010 after investigators said they found skeletal remains near the home where he had lived with his mother since about 2006. An autopsy showed Marcella Clark died from a gunshot wound to the back, according to the criminal complaint.
Investigators said the woman had been missing since late June 2010.
Larry Clark's trial is scheduled to last through Friday, according to the Adams County clerk of court's office.
A court official said the jury was picked early Monday afternoon and opening statements were planned later in the day.
