Monday Sports Report (4-29-13)

On the high school diamond, Pacelli took on Bonduel. And it was all offense, all game. In the top of the 6th Jake Feltz sent one to left and deep for a three run shot to put the Cardinals up eight. But in the bottom half, Derek Liebergen rips a liner to right to bring home two, cutting the Pacelli lead to seven. But it wouldn't be enough as Pacelli would win the shootout 14 to 9.

Pacelli softball also took on Bonduel. And the reigning state champs never faced much of a threat. In the bottom of the sixth, Kaylee Krostag recorded the strikeout to end a Bonduel rally. In the top of the seventh, Marisa Rice laid down a bunt to bring Cassondra Simonis in to score the eighth and final run. And Pacelli would go on to win 8 to 0.

In a WVC matchup, D.C. Everest took on Wausau East. In the top of the first, with the bases juiced, Emily Bruns poked one to center to bring a run home and put the Evergreens up two. In the same frame, Hailey Schulz snared a comebacker and threw to first to bring the Everest rally to a halt. But Everest wouldn't stop there. In the top of the second, Alayna Krejci drove a ball to the right field wall to bring home a run, netting her her second triple of the day. D.C. Everest would then go on to win 13-3 in 5 innings.
