Anita Bucki's family says they're still in the dark about
the search. They say the only information they've received about her
disappearance has come from Newsline 9.
We spoke with Bucki's brother, Cliff Brown, on Wednesday.
He said he's called the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department
multiple times. He said each time he's been told to leave a message, but he
says those calls have never been returned.
Brown doesn't live in the area, and he says that makes this
whole process even more frustrating.
He told Newsline 9 he heard about the search of his sister's
home last night from one of Bucki's neighbors, instead of from officers.
"I don't want to bad mouth them, I know they got a job
to do, but at the same time, what about family? Are we just supposed to sit
back and say, 'oh well'," said Brown.
Bucki's family said they just want to see Anita again. They added
she never goes this long without reaching out to someone.
Bucki's brother told me he plans on coming to Merrill very
soon to help look for his sister. Meanwhile, Lincoln County
officers would not comment on any communication they've had with the family.
Scattered showers to continue the next few days.
