SPASH wins in walk-off over D.C. Everest (Baseball)

In WVC baseball action, SPASH took on D.C. Everest. And in the top of the 4th Inning, Evergreens up 1, and Kyle Zblewski added to that with a solo home run to put the Evergreens up 2. SPASH tied it in the 6th after some timely hitting and a few Everest errors. Then in the 7th with the bases loaded Pat Perner shot one up the middle, and despite the drawn in defense, it was good enough for a base hit. As SPASH wins 4 to 3 on the Perner walk-off.

Wausau West splits with Wausau East in Intra-City Battle

Lumberjacks already up two in the first, and Salena Husband tried adding to that, but Sara Hillery would make the diving grab to secure the out. However, the Warriors would try to make a comeback. In the bottom of the second a soft grounder up the middle allowed Natalie Blomquist to come home and score. West would win the first game in a shootout 13 to 12 in 8 innings, but would come up short in the second game, losing 11 to 0.

SPASH wins in battle of top WVC teams (Softball)

D.C. Everest hosted SPASH in a battle of the top two teams in the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tuesday. At one point, the Panthers were up 7 to 0. Late in the game, and the Evergreens would need five runs to tie in the final inning, and with two outs Shaylee Kluck walked Makayla Pagel. Then Emily Bruns would get a hit to put Pagel in scoring position, but Dani Obermeier pops it up as SPASH gets the win 9 to 4. After the game, catcher Taylor Smola said about the victory, "It feels good. It definitely gets a lift off of our shoulders because Everest is a good team. Credit to them for coming back but I'm glad that we were able to fend them off. I mean we had to dig and claw for a win."

SPASH soccer wins on Parents Night

SPASH took on Wausau East in a WVC matchup on parents' night, and in the 34th minute, off the deflection from the goalie, Alicia Sobczak would find the back of the net to put the Panthers up three. Then in the 43rd minute, off the through ball, Autumn Shurbert-Hetzel bent one like Beckham past the keeper to the upper corner to put SPASH up four. They would go on to win, shutting out East, 7 to 0.
