Forest Co. Sheriff: Woman found after search

Forest County authorities say a woman was found after she was reported missing Friday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Forest County Sheriff's Office, a woman was reported missing just before 4:00 p.m. Friday in the Township of Blackwell.

A search for her was conducted with help from the Forest Co. Sheriff's Office, Town of Laona Police, Wabeno Police and the Wisconsin DNR.

Forest County Deputies later found the woman's car in a wooded area, but they say she was not inside.

Officers say with the help of a K-9, they were able to locate her in a heavily wooded area 200-300 yards from her car.

They say she was taken to a Rhinelander hospital to be treated.

No names are being released at this time.
