Many Wausau-area florists were busy with last minute orders Sunday.
Workers at Blossoms and Bows said they've prepared more than 200 orders in the past two days.
Store owners said they've had extra staff on hand to deal with all of the work.
They said while there isn't a "most-ordered" item, flowers still seem to be one of the most popular Mother's Day gifts.
"Sometimes, even as a small child, just taking a single flower to mom, means so much to a mom. Mom doesn't care how big it is, she just wants to remember on her day," said Blossom and Bows Owner, Charmaine Prewitt.
Owners said they made a lot of fresh flower arrangements and also saw an increase in potted plant orders this year.
