Schulfer & Associates held a shredding party Thursday afternoon.
People brought lots of documents to shred and donated money at the same time. It's all part of a fundraiser for the Stevens Point Area Catholic Schools.
Organizers say the money will pay for security upgrades to the buildings. They say it's a unique event that gives back to the community.
"If they have items that need shredding it's a great way to get rid of them and then you're giving the support to a good cause by helping students in the Stevens Point area with the catholic schools," said Todd Kuckkahn.
The event also featured food and live music. Organizers say they hoped to raise $5,000.
