Hundreds participate in "Saving Treyden Run and Walk"
STRATFORD (WAOW) -
Hundreds of people went the extra mile for a central Wisconsin baby battling cancer.
The "Saving Treyden 5K Run and Walk" took place in Stratford Friday.
It's a benefit for Treyden Kurtzweil, the 11-month-old baby battling leukemia.
Organizers say money raised will help pay for medical bills.
"A lot of people actually feel like they're apart of their family now just because of reading her posts and I don't think she ever intended for it to get like that, in fact I know she didn't so they're very touched," said organizer Holly
Organizers say they hoped to raise 10,000 dollars from this benefit.
Treyden is at a hospital in Tennessee now waiting for a potentially life-saving procedure.
