Shawano County sheriffs help end high-speed chase

Shawano Co. Sheriff's officials say they used a spike system to help stop a high-speed pursuit that started in Green Bay early Sunday.

Authorities say they received a call for assistance from the Green Bay Police Department around 2:30 a.m. as the car traveled westbound toward Shawano County.

Officials say the car entered Shawano County on Highway 29, driving more than 100 miles per hour.

Shawano County Sheriff's officials say a deputy used a stinger spike system to stop the car on Highway 29 near S. Highline Road in the Town of Hartland.

Officials say the driver and several passengers were detained by Green Bay Police for questioning.
