URGENT: TORNADO WATCH ACTIVE UNTIL 1 A.M. MONDAY - WAOW - Newsline 9, Wausau News, Weather, Sports

Weather Alert

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Clark, Taylor, Jackson, Price, Ashland and Iron Counties until 1 a.m. Monday.

A tornado watch means that conditions in the atmosphere are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms to develop quickly.

The watch comes during a period of unsettled weather moving across Wisconsin and much of the Plains and Midwest.

A slow-moving storm system will continue to provide a conducive atmosphere to severe weather throughout Sunday night and again on Monday.

Please stay tuned to Newsline 9 for more on rapidly changing weather conditions.  A live radar is available online here.
