UPDATE: NWS ADDS MORE WISCONSIN COUNTIES TO TORNADO WATCH

Posted:

The National Weather Service has issued a new tornado watch that includes Adams and Juneau Counties until 3 a.m. Monday morning.

This is in addition to the tornado watch issued by the National Weather Service earlier for Clark, Taylor, Jackson, Price, Ashland and Iron Counties until 1 a.m. Monday.

A tornado watch means that conditions in the atmosphere are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms to develop quickly.

The entire region needs to be vigilant for the risk of severe weather with isolated tornado development tonight, even areas technically outside of the watch.

These watches comes during a period of unsettled weather moving across Wisconsin and much of the Plains and Midwest.

A slow-moving storm system will continue to provide a conducive atmosphere to severe weather throughout Sunday night and again on Monday.
