WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WOW) - An 81-year-old father who police say pointed a loaded pistol at his son in a disagreement over money has been charged with felony recklessly endangering safety.
Robert Hass of Wisconsin Rapids made his initial appearance in Wood County Circuit Court on Monday.
No one was hurt in the May 9 incident at Hass' home at Maples Mobile Park, police said.
According to investigators, the son was able to flee the home after police arrived. Authorities say Hass then threw a 9mm pistol out of the home and he was arrested.
Police said the disagreement involved some bills either not being paid or not being paid on time.
According to online court records, Hass was charged with felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety and two misdemeanors, operating a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct.
Hass is free on a $500 signature bond, the records say.
Hass' next court appearance is June 3 for a preliminary hearing and arraignment.
