Honoring fallen heroes at Wausau Memorial Day Parade

This year's Memorial Day Parade drew hundreds of people to Wausau.

Organizers said dozens of groups were involved.

People lined up on Stewart Avenue waving flags and cheering as floats drove by.

Parade organizers said each year the event grows and this year was no exception.

"This is to honor the people who have served in the military, who served for our country, that gave us the freedoms we have today and helped maintain those freedoms," said Organizer, Ken Krueger.

The parade started at Marathon Park and ended at the VFW on River Drive, with a ceremony honoring fallen servicemen and women.
