Photographs are on display at UW-Marathon County to honor fallen service members.
The Heart of Always Lost is a display of more than 6,500 individual photos with names of U.S. military war causalities in Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11, 2001.
The display originated at Western Nevada College. When word of the exhibit spread, the project received a grant to be reformatted as a traveling exhibition.
"We like to do outreach to veterans because when veterans come back, they often times have difficulties adjusting," said Jim Rosenberg of UW-Marathon County student affairs. "One of the ways they can do that is to make use of education benefits and things that they receive in the military, and we want to make sure that they know they are especially welcome here."
The exhibition will be on display at UW-Marathon County until June 14.
