The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are getting ready for their season opener Wednesday night.
The Rafters are heading into their fourth season in the Northwoods league.
The team is the second smallest, but the rafters general manager says you'd never know.
"We are the 8th best in attendance over the last three years," said Liz Kearn, General Manger for the Rafters.
Kearn has been the general manager for four years.
She says she's excited about new changes the team has made, including the brand new "Rat Trap."
"The Rat Trap is the new all you can eat and drink seating area for fans to come out and enjoy," added Kearn.
Another change is the team's brand new scoreboard.
Other changes can also be seen on the ballpark menu as a fan favorite is making its return.
"Our Glazier Burger will be making a comeback which is a bacon cheeseburger in between two glazed doughnuts," said Kearn.
As for the field, there's still a lot of work to do.
Due to the rainy weather, preparations are a little bit behind schedule.
Employees are working around the clock to make sure the field is ready for opening night.
"Hopefully we can move forward and the rain stays away the rest of today and tomorrow," said John Fanta, Rafters Assistant General Manager.
As workers prepare Witter Field for another season, the feeling of Summer baseball is in the air.
The first pitch is set for 7:05 Wednesday night.
One year later, Bob Look - Dianne's husband, and Scott Sann - Sara'shusband, remember every detail of the tragic day.
