D.C. Everest students dunk teachers for a cause

Students at D.C. Everest Middle School dunked their teachers on Friday for a good cause. The school held a food drive as an end of the year event.

Teachers said the students raised more than 1,000 food items and around $200 dollars. Those students who donated items got a chance to dunk their favorite teacher. School leaders say the donations will go to other students in need at D.C. Everest Elementary School.

"Kids really get into it, the teachers make it a little war to see who is going to go in, and it's really great to see the kids rally together to support other kids within their school," said D.C. Everest Middle School teacher Dallas Rennie.

This is the fifth year the event has been held. Teachers say they hope to continue the dunk tank in the future.
