Dunkin' Donuts has announced plans to open a store in Marshfield.
Company officials won't say where yet, only that it will open sometime later this year or early next.
They also say they're finalizing plans on a Dunkin' Donuts in Rhinelander.
They say this is part of a plan announced several years ago to build six restaurants in the Wausau area. The first location opened in Plover in April 2012.
Company leaders say they have no plans for a store in Wausau at this time, but they're working on it.
"We'd love to be in Wausau," said Jeremy Alsaker, Travel Mart/Dunkin' Donuts director of operations. "We are very excited to be part of that community and the communities that are immediately surrounding it. We just need to find the right opportunity."
Company officials say they expect to announce the locations for the new stores in Marshfield and Rhinelander in the next month or two.
