Father and son bike across Wisconsin in honor of a friend
WAUSAU (WAOW) -
A Wisconsin man and his son are biking across the badger state in honor of a friend.
Duke and Alex Lensert are on a 10-day bike ride to honor Alex's classmate Bo Johnson.
Johnson died last September of leukemia.
The pair says the purpose of the ride is to raise awareness and raise money.
They started in Door County and plan to end in St. Croix Falls before heading back home.
We caught up with the two on a stop in Wausau.
"You have to stop and eat, you have to stop and rest and make sure you drink a lot of fluids you know you get a lot food and calories so you can keep burning and than after that it's just a matter of wanting to do the ride and wanting to finish at night," said Duke Lensert.
