Lincoln County bus driver found guilty

The bus driver accused of sending nude photos and several text messages to a student pleaded no contest during a hearing in Lincoln County court.

Bobb Bergman, 51, of Gleason, faced multiple charges, including exposing himself to a child, causing a child mental harm and stalking.

On Monday, a judge found Bergman guilty of the crimes based on his no contest plea.

According to court documents, Bergman is accused of sending roughly 10 picture messages and several text messages to a then 11 year old Merrill student who rode Bergman's bus. Investigators say many of the messages were nude photos.

A pre-sentencing investigation has been scheduled before a judge will sentence Bergman. That investigation will look into Bergman's day to day life and help the judge decide a punishment.

Bergman is currently out of jail on a bond.

A sentencing hearing date has not been set.
