Hillary Rodham Clinton is launching a new early childhood initiative to improve the well-being of young kids.
The partnership is called "Too Small to Fail." It's the first venture for Clinton since joining the foundation created by her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
The former secretary of state is partnering with Next Generation, a nonpartisan group that promotes scientific research about early childhood development.
The idea is to help parents improve learning and health, and to get businesses to help improve conditions for families.
Clinton started the effort at the Clinton Global Initiative America meeting Thursday in Chicago. She's outlined plans to push early childhood development, economic development and work to help women and girls.
