UW Marathon County in Wausau is hosting College for Kids. It is a chance for students to take enrichment courses during summer vacation.

When Newsline 9 showed up we found children using eggs on an obstacle course to solve  science and technology challenges.

The American Girls session has students head out to the Little Red School at Marathon Park and explore what life was like in earlier times.

At the park playground students took part in a scavenger hunt to use their critical thinking skills.

Organizer Jennifer Eaton says having fun is the key to the summer program.

"When they are having fun, sometimes they don't even realize they are learning. That's what this program is all about," Eaton explains.

UWMC is holding two summer learning programs for students.
