Sentencing date set for Lincoln County bus driver

On-line court records show a sentencing date has been set for the school bus driver found guilty of sending sexually explicit text messages and photos of himself to a then-11-year-old boy who was a passenger on his bus.

Bobb O. Bergman, 52, of Gleason, was found guilty earlier this month as part of a plea deal. Bergman faced charges of causing a child under age 13 to view a sex act and of exposing a child to harmful material. He will be sentenced September 17 following a pre sentencing investigation.

Lincoln County authorities say parents of the boy told them their son received several photos and text messages from Bergman last year.

Bergman remains free on a $10,000 bond.
